Alberta’s history is rich and varied, and is comprised of the stories of families who, over generations, transformed prairie lands into farms and small townships into world-class cities. They worked tirelessly, raised families and laid the foundation for the province of today, tomorrow and beyond.
The Copithornes were among the first settlers to establish a homestead in a promising area now known as Rocky View County. A ranching family from the very start, they have played an integral role in the prosperity of the region for well over a hundred years.
Strongly attached to the land, its history and meaning for their family, the six children of Harriette and Bill Copithorne identified an opportunity to build upon their proud legacy. As a family, they elected to re-purpose some of their property and help pioneer a new era of responsible residential growth. From this dream, and in partnership with Bordeaux Developments, Harmony was born.
